Manchester United has made quite an outing to the start of their premier league season as they beat visitors, Leeds United five (5) goals to one (1).
Bruno Fernandes scored a hat-trick and Paul Pogba equalled the Premier League record of four assists in a match as Manchester United started their season with a 5-1 home win over Leeds United.
Fernandes put the hosts ahead 30minutes into the game after running on to Pogba’s through ball and forcing the ball past Illan Meslier.
Luke Ayling scored the equalizer for Leeds early in the second half from 25-yard out, firing a strike past David De Gea.
Man United took back the lead 4minutes later with a left footed shot by Mason Greenwood to the bottom right corner assisted by Paul Pogba.
Pogba again set up Fernandes, whose shot on the turn just crossed the line before being cleared by Ayling.
Fernandes ran on to Victor Lindelof’s fine through ball to complete his hat-trick, before Pogba registered his fourth assist by escaping down the left side and teeing up Fred.
Jadon Sancho came off the bench to make his Man Utd debut on a day when the club also announced the signing of centre-back Raphael Varane from Real Madrid and paraded him in front of the returning home fans.
