AC Milan continued their strong Serie A campaign with a commanding 3-0 victory over Lecce on Friday. The Rossoneri were in excellent form, scoring all three goals in a quick five-minute burst just before halftime.
Alvaro Morata scored the first goal of the game in the 38′ minute. He neatly slotted the ball into the net after receiving a well-placed pass from Theo Hernandez. His calm finish put Milan ahead and set the tone for the remainder of the match.
Just three minutes later, Theo Hernández doubled Milan’s lead with a powerful strike from the edge of the box, leaving Lecce’s defense scrambling.
Milan quickly added a third goal through Christian Pulisic in the 43′ minute.
Pulisic continued his fine form this season, finished off a well-executed team move, effectively ending Lecce’s hopes of a comeback.
Despite a couple of second-half chances, Lecce could not break through Milan’s defense, with Mike Maignan keeping a clean sheet. Milan’s dominance in the first half proved decisive, and the result saw them join Torino at the top of the Serie A standings.
