Grammy Award winning Nigerian born artiste, Burna Boy, has caused reactions on twitter after he announced that he is not a Nigerian artiste.
According to the Rivers state born singer in a quoted reply to a tweet by a fan who tweeted that Burna Boy will soon leave twitter for Nigerians.
“Burna boy go soon leave twitter NG for una”
Burna replied by saying he is not a Nigerian artist.
“Me wey no even be Nigerian artist”

Replying to Burna boy’s tweet, a twitter user criticized the self acclaimed “African giant” for denying his motherland while being an advocate of the African culture. he said;
“But you dey promote African culture and you dey deny your own motherland, all na showbiz as usual lmao”
Burna replied the fan, acknowledging that he is from Nigerian and that he lives in Nigeria adding that he loves his home and his people. but stressing that he doesn’t make his money from Nigeria.
In his words,
“I’m from here and I live here because I love my home and my people, E no pass like that. I don’t make money from Nigeria. Na only cruise dey here.”
