Burna Boy Wins Grammy for Best Global Music Album

 

Nigerian singer, songwriter and rapper, Burna Boy, has won the the 63rd edition of the Annual Grammy Awards 2021 for the Best Global Music Album.

Earlier in 2020, Burna Boy’s album, African Giant lost the same category of Best World Music Album to Angélique Kidjo and her Celia album.

The 63rd edition of the annual awards ceremony was held on the 14th of March 2021 at the STAPLES Center, Los Angeles, California, United States.

Burna Boy’s Twice As Tall album won the Best Global Music Album over Antibalas’ Fu Chronicles, Bebel Gilberto’s Agora, Anousha Shankar’s Love Letters and Tinariwen’s Amadjar.

Burna Boy has sealed his self-declared claim to being the African Giant as he wins this Grammy.
